Prognosis Live Recordings

by J-Slyde

In the lead up to our third Prognosis event, which is set for April 16th @ LOOP – we thought we’d release a couple of the sets which were recorded live at our last two events. Unfortunately only a handful of the sets were able to be recorded due to technical difficulties, *cough* flat batteries *cough*, but those that were are well worth the listen!

All links are direct MP3 files – simply right click and save target as to download.
Please note that these are raw recordings and as such have not been mastered or edited in any way, shape or form. What you hear is what was played live on the night!

Prognosis ~ March 19th @ Loop

by J-Slyde

Prognosis - March 19th Eflyer

Hot on the heels of their debut event the Prognosis krew are gearing up for their second chapter back at Loop. Smashing the venue sideways and showing Melbourne that there’s a new team on the scene, their first event quite simply, WENT OFF! Partying till the early morn the krew had beats bumping, beers chugging, visuals projecting, lasers lasering and the crowd dancing till close of venue at 5am… And this time round is set to be of no exception!

Welcoming back to the decks we have Aaron Static. For those that witnessed his set at our last event, you’ll know exactly why we’ve decided to invite him back – those that were not, all you need to know is shit got lively! Progasms were on the menu and the man was not shy in dishing them out!

Accompanying Static, we’ve been lucky enough to secure the dynamic duo that are Punkz On Junk. Wowing Australian crowds and bush doofers alike these boys know how to rock and will be bringing their unique attitude-driven Prog sound to the decks with force!

Visual duties for the night will be handled by the one and only vdmo Kstati. A visual maestro when it comes to VJing there’s a large chance you’ve already seen this man perform without even knowing it. Traveling the country for the last few years Kstati has visually supported some of the largest artists in the world and the best festivals and club nights around Australia. From D-Nox to Nick Skitz, Paul Van Dyk to Infected Mushroom, you name em and there’s a huge chance the man has dropped his visual mark upon them!

Following on we’ll also have Darko providing his unique flavour of dark and twisted techno and tech-house along with residents J-Slyde and Simon Murphy who are guaranteed to bring nothing but quality beats to the table.

The newest chapter in forward thinking night-life is here. If like your quality electronic music… then the only prognosis is Prognosis!

Prognosis Feb 11th – Round Up

by J-Slyde

Our debut event under our new Prognosis banner was held the other week on Feb 11th at Loop. A new concept that will run aside our usual Substance events, Prognosis concentrates on the Progressive, Techno and House realms of electronic music, with a heavy interest in live visuals.

We were lucky enough to have down a Photographer for the event who was able to capture the night perfectly. The entire photo album can be viewed via Facebook. Along with the photos we also managed to get some video footage.
Read below for a run down.

Some video footage of some of the DJs in action.

Substance Sounds in conjunction with Loop present:

Prognosis

A night of mind bending Progressive and Electronic sounds!

Dedicated to the Progressive sounds of EDM, Prognosis is a new night that will play home to the finest DJs, Producers and Visual artists Melbourne has to offer. Offering up a smorgasbord of quality electronic sounds, Prognosis will not only concentrate on the Progressive realm of electronic music, but will also delve deep into a variety of other related genre’s. The only thing that’s guaranteed is quality, forward thinking electronic music from go to woe!

Helping headline our debut event is JaseFOS, who will be offering up a live AV laser set. Hooked up to computers, controllers and 2 massive lasers, Jase will be orchestrating an extremely unique performance that is set to not only aurally please your ears, but also visually tantalize your eyes.

Along with Jase, we’ll also be welcoming Aaron Static to the decks for a Progressive set chock full of his own productions. Signed to Jetlag Digital, Indigo and Deep Blue Eyes (to name just a few) Aaron has been producing since the ripe age of 16. With the man pumping out quality release after quality release, it was only fitting that we invite him down to celebrate our opening night.

Joining those two are Melbourne heavyweight DJs: J-Slyde, Simon Murphy, Dave Juric and recoil. Along with the highly talented VJ PiedPiper on visuals for the duration of the event.

If you like your electronic music the only prognosis IS Prognosis!
